About Action Counseling, LLC

For years, you have quietly carried the pains and traumas. Behaviors are impulsive and reactive, no matter how hard you have tried to control them. There seems to be an imbalance between thought and feeling.

Over and over, you’ve told yourself, “You’re fine; it’s ok,” and you’ve heard from others, “What’s the big deal? Why do you still care so much?”

But as these thoughts race, self-doubt gets louder. The imbalance increases, and the old coping behaviors either don’t work or need to be intensified to feel any relief.

The focus is on YOU finding balance.

The everyday struggles can come from actions we’ve taken or not taken. They can also be put upon us by others. The difficulties of daily life can leave deep wounds in our souls.

Overcoming these challenges, traumas, or addictive behaviors will require vulnerability to have yourself seen wholly and completely. Healing also requires self-compassion. As you begin to share your story, the unburdening begins.

Here at Action Counseling, we will help you take the proper steps to activate yourself and grow into the person you’re capable of being. But before we take action, there must first be understanding. You are the focus of each session. Our focus is on your voice, experiences, pain, and hope.

Holding on to the past can close the doors of opportunity and compassion. Therapy can open the doors to take appropriate action and start believing enough in yourself to keep moving forward. Finding a balance in life is a real possibility, and we will be with you through it all.

Our logo has a special meaning.

Our logo includes two essential images. One represents Sisyphus pushing the boulder up a mountain each day. While at first glance, daily pushing a boulder up a hill may seem meaningless and hopeless, Sisyphus is able to find meaning and strength. He becomes a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.

The second image is the Sun. Each day the Sun rises, bringing new life. This is a wonderful symbol for healing and new beginnings after the storms of life.

You can feel stuck in a rut, not knowing how to progress further. However, as you push your “boulder,” you will become stronger and find meaning in the struggles you face. We will help you see how much you already know and guide you toward greater clarity. It has been said by many that “darkness cannot exist in the light.” As we work together, we will bring light into your life and dispel the darkness from your past.

What will you experience with therapy?

Listen to what others say about their experiences at Action Counseling.

“After years of dealing with trauma, I inhabit my body and feel emotions differently. The broken shards of my soul have healed, and for the first time, I feel in control of who I am. I can be present and feel everything I need to feel.”

“Through counseling, my spouse and I could look at the broken pieces of our marriage; we gathered them together and created something new and beautiful. With boundaries, vulnerability, and improved communication, we found forgiveness and the deep love we had in the beginning and always wanted to keep.”
