About Lindsay Taylor, LMSW
Finding Your Path Through Life's Challenges
I am a Masters Level Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals discover hope, healing, and purpose in their lives. With specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy, collaborative assessment and management of suicidality, and dialectical behavior therapy, I create a safe, supportive environment where lasting change can begin.
When Life Becomes Overwhelming
Stress, anxiety, worry, and depression are taking over. You have tried to keep up with life's responsibilities, but the pressure is too much.
Worries about school, work, family, relationships, or what others think of you make you feel completely overwhelmed and defeated.
Breaking Free from Self-Doubt
Nothing you do ever feels like enough. As much as you try, you always seem to fall short.
Little mistakes and challenges become insurmountable mountains, and you get stuck in a cycle of self-defeating thoughts and beliefs.
Everyone around you seems to be doing well, and you find yourself making comparisons and afraid of falling behind.
Discovering a More Meaningful Life
As your motivation slowly decreases, you ask yourself if hope exists for a brighter future.
That future exists. And together, we will find it and help you live a more meaningful life.
My Approach to Healing
Hey there- My name is Lindsay. I have a heart for walking with people through life’s deepest struggles. I am especially passionate about supporting teens through challenges, guiding parents in navigating struggles and strengthening parent–child relationships, and walking alongside those facing grief, anxiety, addiction, depression or suicidal thoughts. I also work with adults navigating the many difficulties and pain life can bring. I enjoy working with children ages five and up, adolescents and adults. At the center of my work is a deep empathy for the human struggle and a steadfast belief that every person has the capacity to recover and heal, and that no one is meant to walk the journey alone.
I bring authenticity to the therapy room, offering a holistic and integrative approach rooted in the belief that true healing involves the whole person- body, soul, and spirit. For clients who desire it, I have a passion for incorporating faith, spirituality, and Christian counseling into the healing journey. My heart is to meet you where you are and help you move beyond coping, to uncover the root of your pain, and experience lasting transformation.
Professional Background
With over a decade of experience, I have served in diverse roles, including Clinical Director at a suicide treatment center. I am trained in evidence-based approaches such as
Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS),
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and hold certifications in mindfulness and Positive Discipline. My experience spans crisis intervention, school-based counseling, program leadership, and community education and speaking, equipping me to meet clients wherever they are with both skill and compassion.
Beyond the Therapy Room
Beyond the therapy room, I cherish life with the two most important things in my world-my husband of 18 years and our four children (one who is now my angel). I love traveling, attending concerts, and working out. Sushi is my love language, and serving others is at the core of who I am. With a heart for the hurting and a love for the lost, I seek to bring love and light wherever I go.
